STRUCTURES AND GOVERNANCE

The DAC – CSO Reference Group operates as an open and flexible coalition, with balanced coordination structures. The Group brings together diverse CSOs from the global south and the global north to share information, channel and amplify CSO voices at the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). It is intended to offer opportunities for direct involvement for all CSOs – including those who have only a little time to devote to this work area.

The DAC CSO Reference Group set up self-organised thematic working groups to join forces on key areas of interest. The groups are meant to be a space for i) information sharing, ii) strategizing, iii) coordination for
joint advocacy.

The Core Group is the intermediary decision-making body of the DAC-CSO Reference Group. In between Strategy Meetings, the Core Group ensures as well that the overall political direction of the DAC-CSO Reference Group is implemented by the Secretariat.

The Secretariat is a single unit that coordinates the Reference Group and is hosted by The Reality of Aid Network.
